TALLEY COMMUNITY AMENITY ASSOCIATION
The Annual General Meeting of the Talley Community Amenity
Association (TCAA) was held in St Michael’s Church Hall, Talley, on
Friday 5th September. Several visitors joined members and Trustees
at the meeting to hear reports from last year’s officers and to
receive the annual accounts.
In his report, the Chairman, John Rees, outlined the achievements
made in the past year and confirmed the agreement made with the
Forestry Commission for TCAA to undertake inspections of the
woodlands in return for an annual payment. He mentioned the
Association’s involvement in the Talley Fun Day and outlined the
present position with regard to the Amenity Field.
The Secretary, Roger Pike, summarised the discussions at the
Trustees’ meetings since the last AGM and reported that four new
members had joined during the year, but two had resigned because
they have left the area. He also explained the rules concerning the
election of Trustees and Officers, after thanking Dennis Boyes for
his support over many years. Dennis is leaving the area to take up
residence in France.
Peter Knott, Treasurer, presented the accounts for the year ended 31
July 2009 which showed an excess income over expenditure of £138.
The total amount now held by TCAA stood at £4498. He explained the
improvements in our Public Liability Insurance policy and confirmed
that if TCAA organise an “Open Gardens” day in 2010, the event will
be covered by the policy.
The Webmaster report, also given by Peter Knott, said that the
website is being changed to a more complicated structure to allow
additional benefits to be included.
