On Saturday October 10th, the school organised a
Cashback trip to watch
the Llanelli Scarlets v Brive rugby match. The school is part of the
LlanelliCashback scheme, which entitles the school to receive 50% of
tickets purchased back as a donation. Last season approximately £1000
was
raised from organising 3 trips. Our trip on Saturday consisted of staff,
pupils, parents, Governors, and community friends of the school. In
addition to watching the Scarlets play, the school rugby team
participated
in a pre-match rugby festival in the supporters village which they won
(2
matches won, and 1 drawn). Our school rugby team also participated in a
match on the pitch during the half-time entertainment. Talley School won
this match also. Please see 3 attached photos (team photo is with
headteacher Elfed Wood, coach Darin Cleverly, and Morgan Stoddart of
Llanelli Scarlets).
